Front Row Washington
Don't miss this concert featuring music written by composers who visited the United States, from our Nation's only National Park dedicated to the performing arts.
The chamber music series at The Barns at Wolf Trap is a national treasure, and we celebrate them all month long! In this performance, we hear a variety of music written by composers who visited the United States. After all, travel and seeing other cultures has inspired countless composers and artists.
Choral Showcase
Our Rachmaninoff 150 celebration on Choral Showcase presents the All-Night Vigil, the Vespers, in a new performance by The Clarion Choir directed by Steven Fox.
Opera Matinee
The Flying Dutchman, Wagner's haunting tale of redemption through love expressed through the natural and supernatural worlds, as an accursed Dutchman is condemned to sail the seas forever, unless redeemed by the love of a faithful woman. A production of the Bayreuth Festival with Georg Zeppenfeld in the title role and led by Oksana Lyniv.
From the Top
A young violinist explores the connection between powerlifting and music. A teen bassoonist plays a stirring piece, a trombonist shows off the range of his instrument and shares his passion for nutrition. A flutist performs on the new instrument purchased through her Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award. And a young composer presents their exciting work for an eclectic grouping of instruments!
