Three "Ask This Old House"® Episodes Featuring Local Homes to Air on WETA TV 26 and WETA HD

WHAT:

WETA TV 26 and WETA HD will broadcast three episodes of popular home improvement series Ask This Old House® featuring segments taped around Greater Washington last November. Ask This Old House features tips, practical advice, and real experts solving everyday home improvement problems. Ask This Old House episodes air as the second half of The This Old House Hour.

SATURDAY, APRIL 28  10:00 a.m. – Episode 1 – Washington, D.C.

SATURDAY, MAY 12  10:00 a.m. – Episode 2 – Alexandria, VA

SATURDAY, MAY 19  10:00 a.m. – Episode 3 – Annapolis, MD

LOCAL EPISODE 1 of 3 – Tiling a Bathroom Floor; Weatherstripping a Front Door

Contractor Angelo McRae helps a homeowner tile his bathroom floor and general contractor Tom Silva heads to Washington D.C. to help a homeowner weatherstrip her front door.

LOCAL EPISODE 2 of 3 – Restoring Old Windows; Installing a Kitchen Sink Water Filter

General contractor Tom Silva heads to Alexandria, Virginia to restore the windows in a home built by George Washington. Afterward, plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey installs a water filter at a kitchen sink.

LOCAL EPISODE 3 of 3 – Transfer Switch; Fixing a Clogged Sewer Line

Host Kevin O’Connor and electrician Scott Caron travel to Annapolis, Maryland to install a manual transfer switch for a portable generator. Afterward, plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey heads to Dallas to fix a sewer line that is clogged with tree roots.
