WETA and The Community Foundation Join Forces to Preview "180 Days: A Year Inside an American High School"

WHAT:

Members of the press are invited to a special preview of the film, 180 Days: A Year Inside an American High School, produced by the National Black Programming Consortium, part of the CPB initiative “American Graduate: Let’s Make It Happen.” The evening includes a highlight screening followed by discussion. A two-part documentary film, framed by complex and layered national and local politics, presents an intimate portrait of life for the first graduating class of Washington Metropolitan High School (DC Met), a public high school serving at-risk students in the District of Columbia. Funding for 180 Days: A Year Inside an American High School is provided by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting — American Graduate Initiative; D&I Fund and The Ford Foundation. WETA, the leading public broadcasting station in the nation’s capital, premieres the documentary on Monday & Tuesday, March 25-26 at 9 p.m. on WETA TV 26 & WETA HD.
