New Hosts Visit Neighborhoods Throughout D.C. Area
Arlington, Virginia – The popular WETA local house-hunting series, If You Lived Here, returns for Season 4 to spotlight an all-new collection of 12 neighborhoods throughout the national capital area. The season premiere will air on Monday, October 28 at 9 p.m. on WETA PBS and 8 p.m. on WETA Metro, with streaming available on the PBS app and at weta.org. Five more episodes will follow this fall, with an additional six to air in early 2025.
In Season 4, new series hosts Jennifer (Jen) Osborn and Ricardo Frederick Evans join a local realtor to tour three homes in each episode and immerse themselves in the communities of the D.C. Metro region one neighborhood at a time. Each 30-minute episode celebrates the area’s history, culture, notable places, and unique flavors. Jen and Ricardo take the reins from former hosts Christine Louise and the late John Begeny, who hosted the series for the first three seasons.
“We are so proud of the work that Christine and John did on If You Lived Here and look forward to Jen and Ricardo building upon their legacy,” said Miguel Monteverde, senior vice president and general manager, WETA Greater Washington. “Our new hosts will offer their own unique perspectives on D.C.-area real estate, and, as the series has done for three seasons, they will celebrate the people, past and present, who make this region what it is.”
Season 4 will kick off on October 28 in Burke, Virginia where hosts Jen and Ricardo visit three homes at three different price points with realtor Lauren Breslaw. Along the way, they explore the history of the community’s railroad, its Copperthite Racetrack, and the residents’ successful campaign against the construction of “Burke Airport.”
Jen and Ricardo visit 12 neighborhoods this season, including Burke, Fairfax, Occoquan/Lorton, and South Arlington in Virginia; Cleveland Park, Hill East, Woodridge/Langdon, and Dupont Circle in Washington, D.C.; and College Park, Gaithersburg, Frederick, and Ellicott City in Maryland.
The first six episodes of Season 4 of If You Lived Here will air on Mondays at 9 p.m. on WETA PBS and 8 p.m. on WETA Metro, from Oct. 28 through Dec. 9, with no airings on Nov. 18. Six more episodes will premiere in early 2025. Following its broadcast premiere, each episode will be available to stream on the PBS app and at weta.org. ABOUT THE HOSTS
Jennifer Osborn and Ricardo Fredrick Evans are the new hosts of If You Lived Here, following former hosts Christine Louise and the late John Begeny. Both accomplished performers and arts professionals, Jen and Ricardo met at an open casting call for the Netflix series House of Cards and have been friends for more than a decade. Jennifer Osborn has lived in the D.C. area since 2011, residing in all four quadrants of the District, and eventually landing in Maryland with her partner and two cats. Viewers may recognize her from the Netflix Series House of Cards as the Assistant to Robin Wright's character. She’s performed with theater companies all over the region, including Tennessee Stage Company, Silver Spring Stage, Molotov Theater, and SeeNoSunOnstage, plus countless short films with local directors. She received a Best Actor win at the Knoxville Film Festival Seven Day Shootout for her performance in Personal Day, and at the Frederick 48 Hour Film Festival for her performance in Dog Days.
Ricardo Frederick Evans grew up in the Hillcrest neighborhood of Washington, D.C. and was previously a licensed real estate agent. He attended the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts, where he is currently an instructor. His theatre credits include African-American Collective Theatre, Arena Stage, Round House Theatre, Shakespeare Theatre, Studio Theatre, Totem Pole Playhouse, and Imagination Stage, where he received a Helen Hayes Award nomination for his work in Doctor Dolittle.
