L'Opera

Despite being one of the company's elite stars, Zoé’s dancing has been subpar for years, and the newly appointed dance director, Sébastien, is threatening to fire her. But Zoé isn't going to let herself be pushed aside, willing to fight for a second chance.

The battle is on. Zoé has surrounded herself with powerful allies and begins a hardcore training routine to help her make a successful comeback. In the meantime, Sébastien has his own hands full with other problems: a talented dancer who threatens to leave the company and a choreographer who wants live wolves for his new production.

When Zoé's firing is made public, the other dancers call for a general strike in support. Will the Opera have to cancel the premiere of the new show? The deciding vote will be taken at a general meeting of the entire Opera staff. In the interim, each side wheels and deals, trying to win over as many votes as possible. But Zoé makes a critical mistake, and Flora is offered a golden opportunity.

When the company attempts to mount the famous Swan Lake, they have to deal with several dancers sidelined by food poisoning. Sébastien offers the lead to Zoé, thinking she"ll turn down the strenuous role… but she accepts the challenge. Zoé has less than 48 hours to get herself ready. Unfortunately, her body is not fully cooperating, and she must fight through dizzy spells.

As the company says farewell to one dancer, there is excitement over the impending visit of the famous Russian Bolshoi ballet company. But Zoé is unpleasantly surprised to find out that Sasha, her former lover and dancing partner, is part of the troupe. Sasha had abandoned her five years ago, and there are many unresolved emotions between the two.

With Zoé’s departure from the company looming, she intends to savor every last second: onstage, in a highly moving performance with the Russian dancers… and backstage in a wild, impromptu party. In a vodka-fueled dance competition, Zoé falls into Sasha’s arms. But will she be swayed by his charms and his promises all over again?

Shut out of the Opera, Zoé falls back into her bad habits of heavy partying. Only her role as Flora’s trainer helps keep her in check. She's a demanding coach who trains the young dancer with a firm hand, and Flora can barely keep up. Nearing her breaking point, Flora crosses a dangerous line.

Flora’s competitive entrance exam finally comes, and she earns her spot in the company. But the young dancer has pushed herself too hard, and she pays the price. On the eve of his premiere, setbacks keep piling up for Sébastien, and he discovers that the Opera’s director has been plotting to fire him.
