Paula tries to keep her family and the police from suspecting anything. The police continue to investigate. Lalo Ruiz wants to uncover the truth.

Lalo is arrested, and the press publicizes Paula’s past. Eguia and Paula get closer. Fonseca is desperate to keep attention away from himself.

Eguia and Costa find Baranov, but it goes badly. The investigation stagnates when Adela commits suicide, until Ricardo Vega appears in Santander.

Ricardo threatens Paula, and Paula learns that Teresa is dead. Fernando’s business dealings mean he knows Paula not who she says she is.

Lidia learns Enrique is terminally ill. Paula asks Fonseca to avenge Tere’s death. Fernando confronts Paula.

Ricardo’s phone links Paula to the Russian mafia and the death of a diplomat. Eguia’s relationship with Paula gets even more inappropriate.

Paula’s case is closed, but Lidia begins to doubt her identity. Fernando confesses to Lidia the truth about what happened to their daughter.

Paula’s fake identity begins to crumble, and she agrees to be interviewed. Fernando shows Lidia where he buried their daughter. Ana is injured.

Eguia learns that Lidia, Fernando and Enrique all know the girl is not Paula. Lalo and Eguia don’t find Paula’s body where Fernando said it was.

Running from Petrov, Irina arrives in Santander – but Paula does not help her. Eguia comes clean to Laura. Paula confesses her real identity to Lidia.

Paula falls into Irina’s trap and is almost captured by Petrov. Suspicions fall on Eguia. Fernando feels pressure.
